Ernest was the sister of Noella (Thurber) Bernier Robillard, Thus making him the brother-in-law to my great Uncle Joseph Rosario.

ERNEST THURBER

Ernest Thurber died yesterday morning at the of 59 years, six months and 27 days. He made his home in Clarksburg.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie (Jacques) Thurber; a daughter, Mrs. Carroll Chayer of Waterville Me.; his mother, Mrs. Virginie (Thurber) Camire of Carlise; three sisters, Mrs. Phellza Larose of Trois Riviere, P. Q., Mrs. Mathias Peloquin of Carlise and Mrs. Joseph Robillard of North Grosvenordale, Conn; four brothers, George Thurber of Albany N. Y., Edward Thurber of Chelmsford, James Thurber of Montreal and Alexander Thurber of this city.

Here in this plot, Sec. C, Lot 12, are our Robillards. All of whom, at one time or another, were residents of Lowell, Massachusetts. Buried here are, Louis Joseph Zenon, 40 years old; who was the brother of Joseph Arthur Robillard, 69; who was the husband of Philomene Foucher, 71; who was the mother of Joseph Rosario, 54; who was the husband of Noella Bernier (Thurber), 79; who was the sister in law of Joseph Zenon Heria Robillard, 85; who was the husband of Louise E Wright, 93; who I think was the mother of Joseph 2j. I have the documentation for this plot and it is to be noted that, according to the plot documentaion, Joseph Rosario Robillard was removed from CT and buried at St-Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA in Oct. of 1946. He died in Bronx VA Hospital on 18 Oct. 1945. Sadly, I have yet to find an obituary for him.

DUDLEY -- Theresa "Terry" (Robillard) Rybacki-Dembkoski, 83, of 50 Airport Rd., died Thursday, April 23 at her home after a year long battle with cancer.

She leaves four daughters: Sandra Rybacki Zack of Webster, Celeste Rybacki Herron of Norwich Ct, Karen Rybacki Labbe of Dudley and Virgina Rybacki Rock-Przystas of Webster; 8 grandchildren, Tammy wife of Alan Fournier of Dudley, Michelle Zack of Ocala, FL, Louis Rock of Peabody, Shawn Rock of West Boylston, Melanie wife of James Hachigian of Thompson, CT, Frank Labbe of Providence, Kyle Przystas of West Boylston and Ryan Labbe of Dudley; 8 great grandchildren, she was enthusiastically awaiting the birth of her 9th great grandchild; two sisters, Jeanne wife of Edward Dubreuil of Pelham, NH and Tina wife of Edward Croteau of Oakland, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband, Harold A.Rybacki; a brother, Henry Robillard and a sister, Rita Dozois. Her husband of 30 years, James Z. Dembkoski died in 2000.

She was born in Three Rivers, Quebec the daughter of Joseph and Noella (Thurber) Robillard and was raised in North Grosvenordale and has lived in Dudley since 1946. She worked as a Invisible Mender at Angelo Fabrics retiring in 1983.

Mrs. Dembkoski was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church and the Holy Rosary Sodality. Theresa loved her parish and volunteering at the festival. A life time member of PAV auxiliary, she enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting and knitting.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday APRIL 28 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 6 to 8 PM. Patrick Bernier, 80, husband of Mrs. Noella (Thurber) (Robillard) Bernier, died yesterday morning. He was born in Canada, the son of the late Ferdinand and Philomene Bernier and had been a resident of this community for many years. He made his home at 694 Middlesex street and was a communicant of Notre dame de Lourdes church. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and of the Friends of Notre Dame de Lourdes. Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Irene Bernier of Plainfield, Conn., Mrs. Gilberte Walsh of Packer, Conn., Mrs. Rebecca Johnson of Norwich, Conn., Mrs. Gracia Howarth of Plainfield Conn., Mrs. Rose Mainville of Norwich, Conn.; seven sons, Rudolph Bernier of Central Village Conn., Antonio Bernier, Valere Bernier and Armond Bernier all of Plainfield, Conn., Ferdinand Bernier of Central Village, Conn., Gerard Bernier and Paul Bernier of both of Plainfield, Conn.; four step daughters, Mrs. Edward Dubriel of Pelham, N. H., Miss Rita Robillard of Miami Beach, Florida, Mrs. Richard Therrien of Lowell and Mrs. Harold Rybacki of Dudley; a stepson, Henry Robillard of Chicopee; 15 grandchildren.

For reference to Patrick's age per Jacqui's finding's left in the comment section of this post.. Given Jacqui's information it seems most likely that Patrick was 80 when he died and not 60, and I have corrected the transcribed obituary above to reflect the given information.. But, in the sake of my own defense ( maybe I need glasses : ) I think you can see how I mistook the 80 for a 60. Let's see what other's think. Jacqui?

Noella (Thurber) (Robillard) Bernier of 11 Spaulding Street, wife of the late Patrick Bernier, died last evening at her home. A lifelong resident of Lowell she was the daughter of the late Henry and of the late Virginia (Couture) Thurber. Mrs. Bernier was a communicant of St. Jean Baptiste Church, a member of her parish sodality, a member of the Golden Age Club and a member of the Maruerite D'Youvilles Charity League of the Franco-American School. Her survivors include one son Henry A. Robillard of Chicopee; four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Jeanne) Dubreuil of Pelham, N.H., Mrs. Paul (Rita) Dozois of Lowell, Mrs. James (Theresa) Dembkoski of Dudley and Mrs. Richard (Ernestine) Therrien of Lowell; one sister Mrs. Ernestine Peloquin of Lowell, 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
